Church History

Jason Dunlap, Pastor

Pastor Jason was saved right after graduating from high school in 1989. He was called into the Gospel ministry in 1992 and graduated from Samford University with a degree in Biblical Studies in 1998. He has served at Sharon Heights, which is his home church, in the role of youth director, associate pastor, and now he has been pastoring since March of 2000. The Lord has blessed Sharon Heights under the leadership by allowing them to move into a new facility in March of 2004, and Jason gives all the credit to Jesus and to the people that were willing to follow his leadership as a "hometown boy." Sharon Heights is also where he met his wife, Kelley, and they have three children --Grace, Luke, and Eleanor. Pastor Jason believes in more than religion, it is a relationship with Jesus.
