A Note from Kelley . . . . .

Spring is almost over and summer is quickly approaching. I am writing this note on your last day of school. Hooray! I know you are all excited to begin your summer vacation, but please make God and church a priority and be in Sunday School and church these next two months. Let’s see if we can make this our biggest summer ever in the Children’s Department.

One huge event that will be here in the next two weeks is Vacation Bible School. This year’s theme is awesome, “Outriggers Island”. Please get your parents to fill out and return the registration form you may have received at school or get them to register you online right here on the home page. This will make things easier for us on the first night if you are already registered and we have all your information. VBS is always such an exciting and fun time. We love to sing, teach and show you the love of Jesus. Make sure you are at this “Main Event” at SHBC this year.

If you are going on vacation this summer, let me know. Share some experiences with me that you had on vacation and most of all don’t forget to take Jesus with you. He wants to go to the beach, the mountains, the lake, the park, Alabama Adventure, Disney World, or just outside. Jesus wants to be everywhere you are.

Have a safe summer vacation and I will see you in Sunday School and church every Sunday, I know.

Just a note for those of you who are not regular members of our Children’s Department…
We have Sunday School for all ages starting at 9:30 am every Sunday and KidStyle Worship starts at 10:45 a.m., which is held during “Big Church” for our adults. We have Discipleship Training for all ages beginning at 5:00 p.m. and Worship at 6:00 p.m. Then on Wednesday nights we have RAs and GAs for all ages where you can learn about missions all around the world.
