Feeling Blue, Try Something New!

Have you ever been “down in the dumps?” I think we all have at times in our lives. Even in the Christian realm, we go through what we call valleys, but if you think about it……valleys are where we grow and mature in our lives as believers. Beginning in September, our church has themed the upcoming year as “Feeling Blue, Try Something New!”

This is what we are doing…changing classrooms, changing teachers, adding classes, adding more ministries, just simply trying something new in the life of our church. When you walk into our building just look around and you will see all kinds of changes in the scenery and signage. Change is good, but sometimes it is hard.

As you walk into the building you will see a huge board that has our theme and also all kinds of ministry opportunities…stop by and check out all the hearts and all the opportunities for service in the church and her ministries. Also, eight verses of Scripture are on the board—some plain and some you have to search for. We are offering $25 cash to any person ( four different groups ) that will learn the verses and recite them. Pretty good incentive.

Another new thing is the going live of our site that has been revised. It will be at the same address www.sharonheights.org. Hope you will check it out and spread the word about the resources available on the site.

Sunday, September 2nd, is our new year in the life of our church. This is an excellent opportuntity for teachers to contact their whole rolls and remind them about their class, many which will be changing rooms. Great opportunity…seize the opportunity.
