What Should I Expect When I Get to the Church and Where Do I Go?
The first and most important thing about your first visit is for you and your family to know that you are “wanted” at SHBC. Immediately when you pull into our parking lot there will be a friendly face with a smile that will lead you to our Welcome table and then escort you to the class of your choice or the sanctuary, depending on the time that you come.
What is the Dress Code?
Here at Sharon Heights we have all types of people that have all kinds of personalities. Some wear blue jeans, some wear dresses, some wear suit and tie, some wear…you get the point. The faith family is blessed to be able to serve you as our guest and we are so glad you have chosen this place to worship!
Childcare
Sharon Heights Baptist Church offers childcare in a secure facility. Each parent and child ( nursery through 4 year olds ) check in at the welcome station and receive a pager and also matching security labels. There is also a security person on duty that is responsible for checking the halls during extended session time. During this time (worship in the sanctuary) the preschoolers (Bed babies through 4 year olds) are engaged in different activities such as puppets, singing, playrooms, movies, etc.
Worship Services
Sharon Heights combines strong biblical teaching and dynamic blended worship led by our Music Minister, Marc Culver. Worship Services are held on Sunday mornings at 8AM, 10:45AM and Sunday evenings at 6PM. On Wednesday nights we have a Bible study for the adults in the sanctuary and also missions classes for preschoolers through our youth department.
Children’s Worship
Sharon Heights is blessed to have a time of worship for children (K5-4th Grade) during the morning worship hour on Sunday morning. There will be most of the time four adults leading this time of worship.
Wednesdays
06:30PM :: Bible Study / Missions Classes ( every first Wednesday the Adults divide into L.A.C.E. / Men’s Ministry )
07:30PM :: Adult Choir Rehearsal ( childcare is provided )
Sunday School
We offer many different Sunday School classes for married adults, single adults, students and children. Sunday School offers members & guests a place to meet in small groups which allows us to meet new people, get to know each other better, and grow deeper in our faith. Sunday School classes meet at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings.
