Jesse Carr – Senior Pastor

Pastor Jesse was raised as a preacher’s kid – and barely survived it. He grew up in the foothills of Western North Carolina where he went to Bible College and met his wife Amy while working for Domino’s Pizza. He also used to work at a funeral home – and he will tell you about it even if you don’t ask.

He has been the senior pastor at Sharon Heights since September of 2018 where he loves showing Jesus from every page of the Bible.

He and Amy have two children, Priscilla and Asa.

In his free time Jesse likes playing blues guitar and watching Alabama Football. Roll Tide.

Associate Pastor of Administration –

He joined the SHBC staff as Worship Pastor in 2020 and transitioned to Administrative Pastor in the Spring of 2023. Will is a self-admitted nerd. In addition to ministry, he is a trained cancer biologist who teaches college biology.

Will and his wife Haley live in Fultondale with their two children, Wyatt and Palmer. Haley is a professional sign language interpreter. She first learned how to sign as a kid at church because she wanted to be able to talk to the deaf members.
